Woman and Girl Advertising W.A. Hare Photography Studio
An interior view of a woman and a young girl in dresses stand on either side of a banner with white rabbit advertising W. A. Hare and his photographic studio that was on the north side of the Independence Square at the turn of the 20th century. The woman appears to be taking a photograph of the girl with a primitive, box camera. The woman's dress is curiously adorned with photographs that apper to have been affixed to her dress. This image was published in the Independence Examiner on 22 March 1978.
