From the scrapbook of James M. Anderson, ca. 1917. Old street scene of Grand Avenue, between 14th & 15th Streets. Buggies with horses are at the front of the stores at the side of the street. "East side of Grand Avenue, between 14th and 15th Streets. Used as a Union jail for southern sympathizers during the Civil war."
