Image of commercial buildings on the west side of third street between market and west main. on July 16, 1970, the Journal announced that the old building (Do-Drop Inn at 22 W 3rd) is getting a 'face lift' with a new brick front on the firstfloor and attractive blue steel facing on the upper story. Next is the American Legion at 16 W 3rd. The Lee's Sumit Journal office was here at 12 W 3rd from May 26, 1966 until June 1971.
