Roger T. Sermon Collection - This is one of a group of photos taken during World War I. This photo shows a military camp, including a chapel, where Roger T. Sermon and some of his platoon were imprisoned near Verdun. The back of the photo reads, "A scene near Verdun. Here is where we have been imprisoned since Oct 15. Notice the little chapel. It's across the road from my shack. Father Turman (?) will say mass there tomorrow."
